Sept. 16, 2019: Building CaPacity for Patient-Centered R&D

On Sept. 16, 2019, The Patients’ Academy for Research Advocacy and FasterCures, A Center of the Milken Institute, co-hosted an in-person multistakeholder workshop to discuss needs and approaches to educating and training patients to participate in R&D. Read what leaders from patient organizations, pharmaceutical and device companies, FDA, disease foundations, and other health-focused nonprofits had to say about who needs training, what they need to know, how capacity-building for patients should be resourced, and how we should think about measuring the impact of these programs.
